We are extremely proud of all of our products including our strong wooden poles that have been sourced from North Scandinavian forests where it is extremely cold and hence ensures the wood grows slowly making it late maturing and of world-class quality. The poles, which are over 80 years old, are de-barked spruce, and are light but very strong and rot-resistant making them ideal for outdoor shelters. The poles are 100% consistent in their dimensions starting at 115mm diameter at the bottom, with a perfect taper to the top where the diameter is 80mm.
We have recently received our latest delivery of poles straight from Scandinavia and our expert team of pole technicians are currently in the midst of pole production.
Once we have received the delivery, our highly skilled team of pole technicians will begin the pole production process firstly checking the poles of any defects. They ensure each pole is cut to the correct length (depending on the size of the tipi), fit the extra metal fixtures and fittings, coat them in an attractive & protective wood preservative and finally, they thoroughly check each pole to ensure they are to our high Tipi Company standards.
Since the success of The Showman’s Show 2015, we have been honoured to produce numerous accessories and tipis for clients all over the UK. We have had an extremely busy season with clients collecting their orders on a daily basis and have been overwhelmed by the feedback we have received so far, not only about our poles, but each individual hand-stitched canvas and accessory we offer.
