“We bought our Baby Tipi tent 2 years ago after seeing it at a Glamping show to add to our Glamping family. We bought our Baby Tipi tent 2 years ago after seeing it at a Glamping show to add to our Glamping family. Stacey was the lovely young girl that helped us with any questions we might needed answering and was always quick to reply. 2 years on we have had many people enjoy staying in this tent ❤️ I renamed it the Grand Tipi tent as it is very roomy inside and baby makes it sounds small.”

The Brief
Swallow Park Glamping is a campsite situated just two miles from the stunning Norfolk Broads. Known for its picturesque landscapes, the site has long been a favourite for campers and caravan owners. However, to keep up with the growing trend of glamping and offer a more diverse experience, the team at Swallow Park wanted to introduce something unique to attract new visitors and enhance their existing offerings.
Their goal was to create a space that provided guests with the perfect balance of nature and luxury—a place where visitors could enjoy the beauty of the outdoors without sacrificing comfort.
The Challenge
Swallow Park is surrounded by woodland, making it essential that any new accommodation fitted in naturally with the environment. The challenge was to find a structure that was aesthetically pleasing, durable, and able to withstand varying weather conditions while still providing the comfort expected by glamping guests.
To find the best solution, the owners of Swallow Park attended a Glamping Show, where they explored a variety of structures available on the market. They were looking for a tent that would be both practical and visually appealing—something that would enhance their site rather than detract from its natural charm.
The Design & Installation
After visiting The Glamping Show, Swallow Park decided to invest in a Baby Tipi from The Tipi Company. The tipi was chosen for its: Robust and weather-resistant materials, ability to blend in with the natural surroundings, spacious and comfortable interior, offering a premium glamping experience
In 2017, they purchased a Baby Tipi complete with an entrance porch and zipped canvas door, which was installed on a raised wooden base. This base provided a permanent, stable flooring solution that kept the interior dry, enhanced insulation, and ensured the structure could be used all year round.
Following the success of their first tipi, in 2020, Swallow Park expanded their offerings by adding a Little Hat Tipi to their site. This additional structure allowed them to accommodate more guests and diversify their glamping options.
Theming
Swallow Park took great care in designing the interior of their Grand Tipi Tent (as they lovingly renamed it). The tipi sleeps four guests and is equipped with: A double bed and a double futon to comfortably accommodate couples or families, electricity for lighting and charging devices, a wood burner, ensuring warmth during cooler nights, carefully curated decor that enhances the luxurious yet rustic experience.
By maintaining a stylish but natural aesthetic, Swallow Park has created a cosy, welcoming environment that appeals to a wide range of guests—from couples seeking a romantic escape to families looking for an outdoor adventure.
The unique accommodation has allowed them to attract a broader audience, including those who may not have previously considered a camping holiday. Guests appreciate the balance of nature and comfort, and the tipi has quickly become a sought-after choice for bookings.
